Coach Anderson has a very intensive basketball background. He was a 1000 point scorer and All-State selection in high school; gathering multiple scholarship offers. He selected to play football and basketball close to his small east Texas hometown of Trinidad. Coach Anderson spent a season at Navarro College before deciding to join the military. During his military career is when he really began to hone his playing and training skills. Coach Anderson played on many Army level teams, winning championships at many levels both stateside and overseas. Coach Anderson also began to work with youth; volunteering at local YMCA’s and youth leagues. It was during this time that his passion for skill development began to take center stage.

Coach Anderson has been a part of many top AAU programs across the country; Alaska Flight, Team Black Out, No Days Off, San Angelo Storm, and Tru Champs. His work with those programs has been invaluable. Coach Anderson has also worked with basketball organizations such as Hoop Mountain, Brandon Roy Skills Clinic’s, and Team 907. He has learned from and been mentored by some of the best trainers in the business; Chris Hyppa, Arvin Mosley, Derrick Breland, Mike Ward, Anthony Porter, and a host of others. Taking what he learned from working multiple camps with such elite trainer plus his attention to deal and thirst for knowledge lead him to ultimately creating his basketball company, Beyond The Arc. Beyond The Arc, since its birth has placed 10 players in college.

Coach Anderson created the Build A Beast Skill Development Program in order to assist in the total player concept vision that he wanted to implement with the pro-players that he trained. He has now made Build A Beast his primary training method.

Coach Anderson is a member of the Jr. NBA, certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, certified Gold USA Basketball Coach, and a member of multiple coaches and trainers networks.

Coach Anderson is excited to be in a position to help the youth DREAM PAST HIGH SCHOOL by bridging the gap between basketball and a college scholarship. The Skill Development Coach and SDC Scholarships Camp model matches his vision for the youth in his area and his program. His Build A Beast Skill Development Program coupled with the periodic table of skills will introduce players to a level of skill enhancement to will take their game to the next level.
