In 1993, Coach King began developing, training, and coaching youths after he was sidelined by a major knee-injury that ended his basketball playing career. His love for the game did not die with the injury, it grew into something different….. better suited for his passion and talents. As the founder of Rockstar Sports – Basketball Training Academy, Coach King is committed to positioning young student-athletes for success both on and off the basketball courts. It begins with BEING EXCITED ABOUT THE FUNDAMENTALS. His program slogan is, “practice perfecting the fundamentals…….and your game will elevate you to ROCKSTAR levels…” 

As a USA Basketball Gold Licensed coach, Coach King has compiled his 20+ years of experience in training, coaching, developing, and mentoring young student/athletes to strategically align his program with the Jr. NBA and the Skill Development Coach Scholarship Camps and their progressive Basketball Training Program to enforce the foundation of ROCKSTAR SPORTS. Coach King strongly believes that when his athletes and parents learn about this training and development program, it will revolutionize the training and development of our young student-athletes, girls and boys.
